Stay Frosty is an action film directed by Sam Hargrave, who previously worked with Idris Elba in Extraction.
Warner Bros. has paid more than $1 million for the rights to writer Tyler Marceca's spec script, according to Deadline.
Elba will play a man who miraculously survives a bullet to the head and must discover out who wants him dead and why as he returns home in time for Christmas with his son. The film is reported to be in the manner of Christmas blockbusters Die Hard and Lethal Weapon, featuring a central character akin to John Wick. Mike Richardson and Keith Goldberg of Dark Horse Entertainment will produce with Elba and Hargrave.
